SAGAPONACK ASSOCIATION
The Sagaponack
Association's Organizational Meeting was held on Friday, July 26 at 5:30
pm at the Bridgehampton National Bank.
Agenda
-Introduction of Meeting Organizers
-Presentation of By-Laws
-Election of the Board of Directors
-Review of Finances
-Discussion of Issues of Concern to Members

The following persons were elected to the Board of Directors for one year:
President
Ana R. Daniel has been a full-time resident of
Sagaponack for five years and part time for 20 years. She is currently
adjunct professor for history at Southampton College and previously,
senior vice-president of Merrill Lynch and management consultant at
McKinsey & Co.
Ana was one of the original organizers of the effort to incorporate the
hamlet of Sagaponack and is a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee.
She is Chair of the Board of the Bay Street Theatre and has served on the
boards of a number of major not-for-profit institutions in NYC.
Secretary/Treasurer
Clay D. Dilworth has come to the East End since childhood.
She and her husband and children moved to Sagaponack full-time in 1995.
Like Ana Daniel, she was involved in the effort to incorporate Sagaponack
three years ago, and is also a member of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee.
Clay is a member of the Board of the Retreat, and is an AEMT on the
Bridgehampton ambulance.
Patrick J. Guarino, age 59, is a full-time resident of
Sagaponack. He is a partner with Grammercy Equity, LLP a boutique venture
capital firm in New York City. He recently retired as Executive Vice
President and General Counsel for Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corporation, a
Fortune 200 Company. Prior to joining Ultramar in 1974, he practiced with
a New York City law firm after serving with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate
Corps. Mr. Guarino holds a B.A. degree from the City University of New
York and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Bruce M. Kaplan, age 62, is a full-time resident of
Sagaponack. He is presently engaged in divorce mediation and the practice
of law. He served as a Judge of the New York State Family Court from 1977
through 1997. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he was a Legislative
Representative in the Office of the Mayor of the City of New York. Judge
Kaplan graduated from Princeton University, and the University of
Pennsylvania law school.
Alfred R. Kelman. Full-time resident & registered voter, 884
Sagg Main, Sagaponack.
Former Co Chairman, Sagaponack Citizens Advisory Committee; Independent
Film Producer, Movies and Mini Series for ABC,CBS, NBC & HBO; Emmy Award
Winning Documentarian;
Formerly, WGBH graduate scholarship, MS, Political Science &
Communications, Boston University; Research Fellow, Center for
International Studies, MIT; Research Director, Oregon Educational
Television Network; News Editor & Director of Public Affairs, Westinghouse
Broadcasting Company; Principal, Board Member & Executive Vice
President, Medcom, Inc., a publicly traded company specializing in multi
media medical education and allied health personnel training.
Members who are interested in serving as officers of the association board
or as worker bees on behalf of the association are encouraged to send in
their names.
